April Newsletter
At Semillas, we learn to be authentic and brave!
This month, we celebrate honesty as the ability to tell the truth, acknowledge our actions, and act with integrity, even when it is difficult. During this time, the children will:
- • Learn to clearly express what they think and feel
- • Recognize the difference between telling the truth and hiding information
- • Practice taking responsibility for their actions, even when mistakes are involved
- • Build confidence by feeling heard without an immediate fear of punishment
At Semillas, we believe honesty grows in a safe environment. When children feel they can tell the truth without being rejected, they develop integrity and self-confidence.
Each child will understand the value of truth, feel safe expressing themselves, and begin acting consistently with what they think, say, and do.
Moments of Faith
Talking with God – Prayer
The children will discover how to talk with God. They will learn that prayer is a simple, loving conversation with Him, where we can share our joys, ask for help, or simply thank Him for everything we have. We invite families to continue this practice at home—at bedtime, before meals, or at any time of day!
Virtue of the Month
Honesty
We will play at being honesty superheroes!
In class, we will make a “pinky promise” to remember that keeping our word matters. We will also play “truth or lie,” share stories about times when we made mistakes, and discover that being honest does not mean being perfect—it means having the courage to tell the truth with love. We all have the inner strength to do what is right!
Reading and Earth Month
Let’s observe life in action! The children will care for ants and ladybugs, watch butterflies transform, and learn about volcanoes, mountains, and oceans.
We will celebrate Earth Day (April 22) with a Recycling Exhibition, where the children will share projects made from reused materials. It will be a month full of experiences that remind us of the beauty of caring for and giving thanks for creation.
Birthdays
A special shout-out to our students and staff members growing a year older this month. We wish you a day full of joy, laughter, and big smiles!
