This month, we celebrate forgiveness as an opportunity to heal, reconnect, and strengthen our relationships within the holiday season and the cultural traditions that bring us together. During this time, the children will:
- Recognize situations in which they may hurt others and learn how to make things right (apologize, listen, try again)
- Understand that everyone makes mistakes and that there is always an opportunity to improve
- Participate in cultural celebrations (Christmas and other traditions), exploring their meaning beyond material things
- Express emotions and good wishes through gestures, words, and shared activities
At Semillas, we believe forgiveness does not mean forgetting; it means learning how to move forward with respect and love. Celebrations give us opportunities to share, give thanks, and reconnect with those around us.
Children will experience the value of repairing relationships, end the year with positive experiences of connection, and understand that traditions are also a way to build community.
