February Newsletter
At Semillas, we make room to imagine, explore, and create!
This month, we celebrate creativity as the ability to think, express ourselves, and solve problems in original and personal ways. During this time, the children will:
- • Explore open-ended materials (paint, textures, building materials, natural elements) without one expected final result
- • Express ideas, emotions, and stories through art, play, and language
- • Experiment with different ways to approach situations and create solutions
- • Build confidence in their own ideas and their unique way of seeing the world
At Semillas, we believe creativity is not taught through copying, but by allowing each child to discover their own way of doing and thinking. When children feel free to create, they also learn to trust themselves.
Each child will see themselves as a creator, value their ideas, and understand that there are many valid ways to express, build, and solve.

Invent the ending of a story; create a free-form art project; make a collage from cutouts; make a musical instrument; decorate a rock; create a picture using things from nature.
