March Newsletter
At Semillas, we learn to live together by recognizing and valuing others!
This month, we celebrate respect as the ability to recognize, accept, and value others, including their ideas, emotions, and differences. During this time, the children will:
- • Learn to take turns, listen, and be considerate of their classmates
- • Recognize that each person is different in their preferences, emotions, and ways of acting
- • Practice using words and actions that show care for others
- • Develop skills to resolve conflicts in a guided and respectful way
At Semillas, we believe respect is not imposed; it is built. When children understand that others may feel and think differently, they begin to act with empathy and consideration.
Each child will recognize others as important, develop healthy ways of relating to others, and help build a community based on mutual care.

Ephesians 6:1–3: “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ‘Honor your father and mother’—which is the first commandment with a promise—‘so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.’”

Respect
I Give Respect and I Am Respected
I show respect when I treat others the way I would like to be treated.
Virtue Goal
Ask for things politely by saying “please,” and remember to say “thank you.”
